چکیده

Aim: To evaluate the predictive value of preoperative ratio neutrophils to lymphocytes (NLR) in distinguishing between benign and malignant masses, as inflammation plays a significant role development emergence cancer.
Material Method: This retrospective study included 155 patients who underwent surgery due an adnexal mass December 2020 2021 (55 were malignant, 100 benign). Age, parity, tumor stage, chemotherapy, CA 125, CRP, neutrophils, lymphocytes, NLR, recorded. The Mann-Whitney, Chi-square test multiple linear regression used. cut-off values variables determined by calculating areas under receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) for purposes differential diagnosis presence malignancy, analyzing sensitivity, specificity, positive value, negative likelihood-ratio (LR) (+) values. A P-value 2.79 NLR; sensitivity was found be 59.36%, specificity 75.51%, (PPV) 58.44, 75.58, LR 2.3. At cut-off> 36.9 CA-125; 80.00%, 78.63%, 67.72%, 87.53%, 3.73.
Conclusion: primary outcome our is that likelihood malignancy patient with NLR of>2.79 2.3 times higher than 3.73 CA-125

Pretreatment Neutrophil–Lymphocyte Ratio

The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) has been shown to be associated with prognosis in various types of cancer. We evaluated pretreatment NLR as a predictor of poor prognosis in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and we compared the prognostic value of NLR with other prognostic scores. We retrospectively analyzed 825 patients diagnosed with HCC between October 2008 and May 2012. ...

Pretreatment Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio

The pretreatment neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is reportedly associated with the clinical outcomes of many cancers. However, it has not been widely investigated whether the pretreatment NLR is associated with the pathological characteristics of prostate cancer (PCa) and biochemical recurrence in PCa patients receiving radical prostatectomy (RP).In this cohort study, a total of 1688 PCa p...

Neutrophil lymphocyte ratio in Coronary Artery Disease

Aim: To evaluate the neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in diagnosed cases of coronary artery disease. Methods: It was a cross sectional analytical study. The participants included 40 cases with coronary artery disease and 20 normal healthy males. All the participants were in the age group of 35-55 years and were nonsmokers. Total and differential leukocyte count was checked by automated hemoana...

Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio in Small Renal Masses

Introduction. To evaluate the association between preoperative neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and clinicopathologic characteristics in patients with small renal masses (SRM). Methods. Retrospective chart reviews of patients with renal masses ≤4 cm who underwent nephrectomy from January 2007 to July 2012 were conducted. Multivariable linear regression was used to examine the association betwe...

Neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio in obese adolescents

OBJECTIVE Obesity is a growing health problem in most of the developed countries. It is associated with many chronic diseases, affecting particularly endocrine and cardiovascular systems. Inflammation plays a key role in pathophysiology of obesity. In this study, we aimed to investigate the inflammation status in obese children using neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio. METHODS In this study 130 obes...
